There are 3 educator license levels

A minimum number of requirements have been met and/or competencies demonstrated; an approved educator preparation program was not completed. This is a temporary, non-transferable license that qualifies an educator to work for three years in a Utah school.
Under direction of the local governing boards of school districts or charter; and approved educator preparation program was not completed. This is an emergency license that only qualifies an educator to work in the request LEA.
