Greg Ferrie

PE / JV Head Soccer Coach

Greg is entering his first year with the Salt Lake Academy high school coaching boys soccer as well as teaching PE and fitness classes. Greg grew up in Shrewsbury, England and played competitive soccer from the age of 6, representing his school and college in addition to premier league academy development teams. 

Greg graduated from university in 2014 with his bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise science, specifically focusing on physiology, psychology and biomechanics. Whilst studying at university he decided to pursue a career in coaching and worked in local elementary schools providing PE curriculum and extra-curricular sports clubs for kids aged 6-11. Immediately after graduating Greg relocated to the US to continue his coaching career and spent 5 years directing British Soccer camps for Challenger Sports in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and New Mexico. During this time he settled in Utah joining the staff at Forza Futbol Club before moving on to work with Murray Soccer Club for a year. For the last 3 years he has worked with Shooters Soccer Club, training a number of their teams at a variety of skill levels. Greg holds several soccer licenses from US Soccer and the English FA.

When not coaching, Greg likes to spend time with his wife and explore the mountains.
