Rae Dodge is delighted to join the Salt Lake Academy team as a 5th-grade teacher. Rae brings a unique and thoughtful perspective to the classroom. They draw heavily on their Suzuki Method background—especially the belief that "Every Child Can"—and are passionate about meeting students where they are, recognizing that learning journeys are deeply individual. Rae has taught students from Pre-K through 8th grade and is especially focused on fostering hands-on, inquiry-based learning. Their classroom is built on curiosity, compassion, and critical thinking, with the goal of nurturing students who care deeply about others and about the world around them.

Outside the classroom, Rae spends much of their time oil painting, making ceramics, gardening, and getting lost in a good book. They believe that creativity, connection, and lifelong learning are just as important for teachers as they are for students.
