My name is Naena, and I have played an ample amount of sports. I have played soccer, basketball, and competed in cross country and track through college. I have since started to play both tackle and flag football with traveling teams. I think athletics teaches everyone life long skills and life lessons, whether it be perseverance, dignity, sportsmanship, critical thinking, etc. The possibilities are endless! I am a strong believer in the phrase "you get out of it what you put into it". I am happily married to my husband and we have two wonderful dogs that keep us very busy!
As far as education, I graduated from Westminster University with a degree in Elementary Education and K-12 Special Education. I have worked as a middle school special education teacher for 6 years. I believe all students are capable and intelligent. All students should have the opportunity to achieve their goals at a high level. If we set standards high, students will meet them. I also believe that by creating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment, students will learn more about themselves, the community, and how to be in the real world with success!
