I’m a proud graduate of Murray High School (class of ’87) and attended the University of Utah on a teaching scholarship, earning a degree in Physics with a minor in Mathematics. My teaching career began at South Summit High School, where I taught math, followed by 11 wonderful years teaching Physics at West Jordan High. During this time, I completed a Master’s degree in Leadership and Policy from the University of Utah in 1994, which launched my transition into administration as Assistant Principal at Riverton High School.
For the past 19 years, I’ve served in various administrative roles at Riverton High, JATC, Herriman High, and, for the last decade, at Copper Hills High—where I even created the school cheer, “It’s a great day to be a Grizzly, RAWR!” In all, I’ve dedicated 31 years to education within the Jordan and South Summit School Districts.
Now, I’m excited to begin a new chapter as Assessment Director at Salt Lake Academy.
