Teaching has been a passion of mine for 30 years. I have taught grades pre-k to sixth
grade. I cannot say which grade I like best because all of them have been great
experiences. When I see the sparkle in a child’s eye after he/she finally understands a
concept, I get goosebumps! I believe ALL children can learn, at their own speed and in
their own way. In my classroom, children are given many opportunities to learn in the
style that works best for them. Whatever their style of learning is rather it be by listening,
writing, or exploring with their hands, I teach most concepts several ways allowing the
chance for all to succeed. Being a part of the faculty here at Salt Lake Academy, I am
excited to continue fostering a love of learning to the students that attend.
I received both (bachelor and master) from University of Utah. I am an avid runner that
has ran many races including 5k’s, 10k’s, 15k’s, half marathons, and even a couple of
triathlons. In my spare time I can be found in my flower garden or on the lake. I have
two wonderful grown children and four beautiful grandkids. I live with my Cocker
Spaniel, Sassy. She makes sure I walk her every morning, or she is sad all day. I truly
love life and excited to be a teacher at Salt Lake Academy.
